Offcourse you want to enjoy your Texel sheepskin as long as possible. To ensure that the skin retains its beautiful, soft appearance, you should comb it regularly with a wool comb. Dirty spots on the coat can simply be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Avoid the leather side here: if it gets wet, it dries hard. We therefore also recommend not washing the sheepskin in the washing machine.

For natural cleaning of your sheepskin, you can use snow, if there is any: snow absorbs dirt and drives away odours. Place the sheepskin on the snow, hair side down, press gently and leave for half an hour. Then let the skin dry slowly.
