The warmest socks are the wool socks of 100% Texel wool
The socks of Skéépe are exclusively made from the wool of Texel sheep. The Texel is known for its good quality wool and thick wool fiber. So the wool we use is 100% Texel and of course we are proud of that.
It is unfortunately not possible to make the socks themselves 100% wool. This because then there is no stretch in the socks and you probably won't even be able to put them on. This is why we also add some viscose to the wool, which immediately creates the color gray and beige. We did choose to keep the wool percentage as high as possible and therefore the wool socks still consist of 85% wool.

The sheep wool we use for the socks, we buy directly from the Texel sheep farmers. The sheep live with the seasons, so free in the meadow or nice and warm among the hay in the stable. The Texel island climate has a very favorable influence on the sheep and their wool, creating a unique quality of wool that we are only too happy to use for our socks.
