Yes, you read it right! The sheep's wool our socks are made from comes exclusively from local farmers on the island, which we collect ourselves. The sheep's wool is shaped by the island climate and is therefore of a unique quality.

Are the socks also made of 100% wool?

No, because this is not very practical. If the socks were made only from wool, they wouldn't have enough stretch and you wouldn't be able to get them over your heel. That's why we add a little bit of viscose. This makes the socks a bit more flexible and a bit more hard-wearing. Because we at Skéépe do believe in all the benefits wool has to offer, we keep as high a wool percentage as possible, as high as 85%.
