Within our organisation, Joseph Mandaat acts as an internship supervisor for students enrolled in programmes such as E-commerce Specialist (Economics and Administration, programme code 25876, level 4) and technical students studying Engineering Technician (BOL), programme code 25919. In this role, he guides students in developing both commercial and technical skills within a modern digital working environment, with a primary focus on e-commerce, online marketing and the optimisation of digital customer processes.

The internship supervision mainly focuses on analysing and improving the digital customer journey, mapping the market position of a company and translating trends and developments into concrete commercial opportunities. Students learn to carry out marketing and communication activities, provide webcare, develop online content, and manage SEO, SEA and digital channels. In addition, they work with commercial data, analyse online performance and formulate substantiated recommendations for conversion optimisation and further professionalisation of digital processes.

Within this digital context, attention is also paid to basic technical principles from engineering practice. Students are introduced to the functioning of electrical systems, technical physics, materials science and mechanical principles. They also learn to work with technical drawing and simulation programmes, which give them insight into how technical systems are designed, analysed and optimised.

Through this integrated and practical guidance, Joseph Mandaat creates a learning environment that combines commercial analysis, digital strategy and technical insight. This enables students to develop a broad and future-oriented competence profile that is in line with the increasingly digitised e-commerce and technology sector.
